Atlassian rebuilt its certification program around three credential tiers: free unproctored ACH certificates valid 12 months, $100 ACA associate certifications, and the flagship $249 ACP professional certifications. The current ACP lineup is five exams: ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud, ACP-620 Managing Jira Projects for Cloud, ACP-420 Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud, ACP-520 Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin, and Confluence Administration for Cloud. The Data Center exams (ACP-100 and ACP-610) retired in September 2025, so the cloud exams are now the whole professional track, and the program lives in the learning hub at community.atlassian.com/learning.

Every ACP exam runs 180 minutes of scenario-based multiple choice (usually 60 to 80 questions, with possible unscored pretest items), delivered online through Certiverse with results emailed immediately. Credentials last 24 months, and the retake policy is strict: 4 total attempts with 14-day waits between attempts, each at the full $249. Community-reported passing scores hover around 63 to 66 percent under Atlassian's scaled scoring, so treat any precise number with caution.

ACP-120 (Jira Administration for Cloud) follows the V2 blueprint published in April 2025, weighted Access, Permissions and Security at 28 percent, Issue Types, Fields and Screens at 18, Workflows and Automation at 14, Advanced User Features at 12, General Project Configuration at 11, System Administration at 9, and Notifications at 8. ACP-420 (Managing Jira Service Projects for Cloud) is the Jira Service Management exam; Atlassian recommends about a year of JSM project-admin experience before sitting it. Its V2 blueprint leans customer-facing: customer-facing features (request types, forms, workflows) around 21 percent, agent-facing queues, SLAs and on-call around 19, users and permissions around 16, portal and notifications including Virtual Agent and Atlassian Intelligence around 12, automation rules 11, specialized Assets, Services and Entitlements content 9, reporting 7, and knowledge base 5. Recent pass reports name the Cloud-only features (widgets, Virtual Agent, Atlassian Intelligence) as the part that trips people up. Both banks start with 30 free questions.
